Nigeria’s First Lady Aisha Buhari on Saturday, June 13, played host to women of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in appreciation of their participation in the activities that led to the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the March 28 Presidential poll.
At the dinner which was held at the conference Center Nigeria’s First Lady revealed thatshe was convinced to join her husband’s campaign train. She said, “It was my personal decision not to come out for campaign because I needed to take care of the home front while my husband was in the field campaigning. It was Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who talked me into it before I decided to join the train. I have never been in purdah since I got married to my husband. My husband is a very gender sensitive man with many daughters. He even allowed me to go to school and to cut the long matter short, he is the pillar of my success.”

Others present at the dinner were wife of Vice President, Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of the Senate President Toyin Saraki, wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Hajia Gimbia Yakubu Dogara.
Others at the event were wives of APC National Chairman, Odigie-Oyegun and ex Rivers state governor Rotimi Amaechi.
