Hollywood, Nollywood, And Gollywood Come Together In New Movie “Turning Point”

“Turning Point”, a new movie being directed by Niyi Towolawi and co-produced by Egor Efiok, has released a trailer for the movie that has been described as a film set to merge the three major film industries in the world – America’s Hollywood, Nigeria’s Nollywood, and Ghana’s Gollywood.

With a blend of actors from the three worlds, the movie has a cast featuring Igoni Archipong Jackie Appiah, Oge Okoye, Patience Ozokwo, Ebbe Bassey, Enyinna Nwigwe, K.D Aubert, Todd Bridges, Joe Estevez, Ernie Hudson, Cynda Williams, and more.

According to the director, the movie revolves around Ade, a Nigerian-American investment banker (also a playboy) working in a successful firm in New York City. He is in a relationship with an African-American ‘Stacey’. Her family at first is cautious about him but later warms up to his charming personality. His mother on the other hand, kicks against any form of marriage with Stacey. He visits Nigeria only to discover that an arranged marriage has been conducted on his behalf with a stranger. He reluctantly accepts this woman (Grace) who has been imposed on him, apparently based on her beauty and submissive disposition.

Back in the USA, Ade avoids Stacey until she discovers his secret marriage. This sets off series of battles and Ade begins to realize how his enviable lifestyle could easily be taken away.
