The federal government is considering a ban on inter-state and inter-town travels, to curb the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) across the country. This report came just as the number of confirmed cases arose to 51 on Wednesday night.
Lai Mohammed, minister of information and Culture, who made this known in Abuja on Thursday, said the federal government is also considering closing all motor parks and inter-state rail stations.
While stressing that he does not mean to spread panic, the minister noted that bold measures have been taken and more steps of such nature need to be taken to ensure that Nigeria beats the virus, Business Day reports.
