Adesua Etomi-Wellington has just made Nigeria and the whole Africa proud. The Nollywood star was unveiled alongside four women as the cover stars of Vogue US magazine’s latest issue and we are more than obsessed.

She joins the likes 14 global superstars such as; Scarlett Johansson, Deepika Padukone, Angelababy, Doona Bae, Elizabeth Debicki, Golshifteh Farahani, Liv Lisa Fries, Eiza Gonzalez, Hera Hilmar, Vanessa Kirby, Bruna Marquezine, Alba Rohrwacher and Lea Seydoux in the April 2019 edition tagged “The Global Issue”.

Photographed by Mikael Jansson, Adesuwa talks to the giant publication about her early life, career in acting, and Nollywood. “I love, love, love Nollywood. I feel like she’s my baby, and it’s my responsibility, along with a lot of other performers, to grow her.” she says about the Nigerian film industry.
