Good news for anyone that still hasn’t linked their Sim Cards to their NIN number (National Identification Number).
Federal Government has announced this Tuesday morning that the ongoing and Subscriber Identity Module integration exercise has been extended by eight weeks with the new deadline was now being April 6, 2021.
According to a report by Punch, Director, Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission, Ikechukwu Adinde, disclosed this in a WhatsApp message to one of it’s correspondent, said the extension was conveyed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami.
This is the third time the deadline has been extended from when the registration and linking was introduced on December 15, 2020, the Federal Government had declared that all SIMs that were not registered with valid NINs on the network of telecommunications companies would be blocked.
