Dinner guests will be surprised to hear that this Festive Asun (Peppered Goat Meat) entree from The Kitchen Organizer (TKO) calls for only four ingredients. It’s also the perfect choice for serving a large group.
The food vlogger says on Instagram: “First on my list from the Christmas menu is this delicious and flavorful Asun. In a way you need only 4 ingredients; Goatmeat, Onions, Pepper and Spring Onions.
“The other items are things you may normally have in your kitchen. Tips to speed up this dish for easy cooking on the D-day includes; * Boiling the Goatmeat the day before. * Blending the Peppers & Spring Onions and storing in the fridge.”
Continuing she wrote, “Chopping the Onions the day before. All that’s left to do on the day is to sauce the meat. Please note you can replace Goatmeat for Beef, Gizzard, Chicken breast or Ponmo for a more budget friendly version.
“500g(1/2 kilo) of Goatmeat can serve 4 people, as starters are meant to be served in small quantities. This spicy “CHRISTMAS GOAT” is a good start to wake up those taste buds. If very hot food is not your preference, replace Scotch Bonnet (Atarodo) with Bell Peppers (tatashe) or mix Bell Peppers and scotch Bonnet for a milder heat. Please invest onions in this dish. It’s worth it.”
- 500g of Goatmeat
- 3 bulbs of Onions
- A bunch of Spring Onions
- 1 cup of Scotch Bonnet (atatrodo) or Bell Peppers (tatashe)
- 1 TBSP of Garlic Seasoning
- Liquid Smoke
- Salt Oil for frying (preferred Oil)
