Olamide, owner of one of Nigeria’s leading record labels, YBNL might have just broken the hearts of thousands of upcoming female music acts aspiring to join the label.

The ‘Lagos Boyz’ crooner in a recent interview with HipTV revealed that he won’t be signing any female artiste on to the label in the nearest future. Giving his reasons, he said female artistes have proven to have shorter life spans within the Nigerian music industry compared to their male counterparts.

The rapper who last week, released his 5th studio album ‘Eyan Mayweather’, then gave a little hope when revealed that he would only be willing to sign a female artiste if she shows the same passion and thirst for success as himself.
