Ono’s Diary: Lanre DaSilva Ajayi’s Show At Lagos Fashion And Design Week 2012

Hello readers,

This weekend was jamming with events in Lagos, from the Lagos Fashion And Design Week to Le Reve Jewellery Pieces store opening to the Beat FM concert, I was definitely on an event roll.

Saturday was specially exciting and busy for me as two of my clients were both having events; Lanre DaSilva Ajayi (LDA) was unveiling her spring/summer 2013 “Butterflies” collection at Lagos Fashion And Design Week (LFDW) and Jennifer Olize of Le Reve Jewellery Pieces was officially having a small soiree to mark the opening of her store in Lekki Phase 1.

So that means, I have quite a number of outfits to share with you my lovely fashion aficionados right here! Keep refreshing your browser.

For the LDA show at LFDW, I wore a piece from the designer’s ss13 collection. Yay! It’s this beautiful cream and gold mix French lace dress with a mesh detail design in front with an undertone of sequin, so the dress was kind of sparkly. I totally J’dore this dress, it made me feel gorgeous and I got a lot of compliments with some of my friends wanting to take it off me at the event, lol.. I could see envy in a lot of their eyes. Hehehehehehe….Well don’t blame me, that’s one of the perks of working with a fashion designer, you get to wear great clothes.

I kept everything else simple, no jewellery apart from my staples, a gold wristwatch and bracelets. Then I pulled out this my old pair of black and gold Christian Louboutin pumps that I probably haven’t worn in about two years, (see why its good to keep things properly, its still in mint condition) and this sequin classic chain bag.

The dress is a piece from the SS13 LDA “Butterflies” collections, see models on the runway at LFDW

Here’s me giving you different shots of my look. What do you think of my outfit?

We all had so much fun at the show and am so proud of my girl LDA, she is definitely breaking boundaries in fashion. Well done Lanre!
