Having shadowed one of the biggest Stylists in Nigeria (Jane Michael), what’s your impression of the fashion industry in the country?
Nigerians are very fashionable and I am so proud of our fashion industry. Every day, great designers are born and discovered. it is so amazing to see the buzz and response the fashion industry is getting.
What has been the highlight of your styling career? Who would you say is the biggest name you’ve styled?
Having worked with a lot of amazing and talented people, the highlights of my career was been able to style the gorgeous Tanzanian singer, Vanessa Mdee for a video that is yet to be aired. I was referred by a good friend and I jumped on the opportunity.
If you could style one famous person in Nigeria who would it be and why?
It would be such an honor to work with Seyi shay again. She reminds me of Rihanna plus she’s got a great body.
And in the world?
Working with Rihanna would be a dream come true, literally.lol. There are no rules in fashion and Rihanna takes lots of fashion risks and yet blows my mind away every time. Her style is edgy and that’s what I love about her. I love to work with people that are not scared of taking risks.
What inspires your fashion sense?
Everything inspires my fashion sense. From a little girl at the mall to a lady taking a stroll down the street.
Do you have any fashion icons/role model(s)?
Omg! Victoria Beckham is like a fashion god. I love, love everything about her. Her attitude and confidence is breathtaking.
If you weren’t doing this, what other career path would you have taken?
If I wasn’t doing this, I’d probably be an actor or some sort of entertainer. I’ve always had love for the Arts.
