Ono’s Diary: Behind-The-Scene From My Mnet 53Extra Interview

I am so excited!!!! So, sometime in February this year I was featured on Africa’s biggest television network programme- Mnet 53Extra.

Mnet 53Extra focuses on the entertainment and fashion industry in Africa. It showcases the latest in music, movies and fashion, as well as red carpet events across the continent. Incorporating the best of its past, with several dynamic new elements. The show brings audiences Africa’s ‘entertainment news’ as well as the latest on celebs and captains of industry.

For the feature I was talking about my online magazine –OnoBello.com to Africa and since the magazine just clocked one year old at the time it was exciting to see that since we started, industry shapers have taken notice of our work.

I was basically asked questions, which included the reason for starting up the magazine, my passion, support we have received so far, what makes us unique from other digital media around, the sort of news we report on and our long-term vision for the magazine.

I know its over three months old but I was just recently able to get my hands on the video clip. So here it is for those of you that might have missed when it aired on TV.

We shot at the beautiful Temple Muse boutique in Victoria Island, Lagos. Thanks to Avi and Kabir!

For the interview, I wore this simple green silk pleated dress by Lanre DaSilva Ajayi, chunky bead necklace from Butler & Wilson and black patent peep-toe pumps from Christian Louboutin.

I had a second change of outfit and went casual with this yellow silk top from Woolworths, black Levis skinnys worn with a black blazer from Zara and multi-colour bead necklace from French Connection. I then finished my ensemble with a pair of yellow and red snake-skin wedges from Dune.
