Perturbed by scathing criticisms that have trailed his many foreign trips since assuming office on May 29, 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari recently defended his many trips at the just concluded National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
At the APC National Secretariat, Buhari said his many travels were imperative, in order to present Nigeria’s case on personal basis to her economic colleagues and neighbors.
However, the end of the recurrent travels of Mr. President is nowhere in sight, following his arrival in Washington DC ahead of the Nuclear Security Summit (NSE 2016) billed to take place from Thurday, 31st March to Friday April 1. He would join other world leaders not inclusive of the President of Iran who wasn’t invited and Vladimir Putin of Russia who had declined the invitation, in deliberating on the theme of the summit “Protecting uranium and plutonium from terrorists.”
