Shi’ites Suspend Protests, Following Proscription


The Shiites group have temporarily suspended its protests demanding for the freedom of its leader, Sheikh El-Zakzaky. IMN made the announcement on Wednesday, few days after it was proscribed by the federal government of Nigeria.

According to a statement released by the group, the suspension is to allow for some new openings into the resolution of the problems, especially the court case instituted by it lawyers on the proscription order.
