Show Reports: ARISE Fashion Week 2019 Day 1 — Tokyo James
ARISE Fashion Week 2019 opened with a bang on Friday, 19 April 2019, with top designers, high profile guests and hundreds of fashionistas converging at the Lagos Continental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos for the revered fashion week.
Kicking off with Fashion Talks featuring the likes of Naomi Campbell, Andre Leon Talley, Reni Folawiyo, Ituen Bassey and other local/international public figures, a-list models oozed fierce sophistication while strutting down the runway in jaw-dropping designs.
Tokyo James is a British-Nigerian Designer and the Creative Director, who studied Mathematics at Queen Mary University, London. He began his creative career as a fashion stylist, working for various international publications, as well as directing digital campaigns for brands such as Brioni, Issey Miyake and Puma Black Label.
The Tokyo James fashion brand was born in 2015 when the Creative Director relocated back home and ever since its inception this brand has worked so hard to become a force to reckon with in the creative and media inndustry.
