ARISE Fashion Week 2020 closed out with a spectacular grand finale on Saturday December 13 with designers and their models shuttling from an hotel for the show following a carefully planned COVID compliant transit schedule.

The continent’s most prominent fashion show has had to adapt amid the coronavirus pandemic by going virtual and streaming to a global audience across multiple platforms. Africa’s biggest stars such as WizkidWurld, Wavy the creator and The Cavemen were part of the day 2 of the fashion frenzy, spiking the evening with stellar performances.

Kenneth Ize emerged winner of the 30 Under 30 competition, presented by supermodel Naomi Campbell. The young designer was rewarded with a $100,000 cash prize while runners-up Ré Lagos and South African Mmuso Maxwell received $75,000 and $50,000 respectively. The three winners emerged from a pool of eight finalists which included Lagos Space Programme, Ziva Lagos, TJWho, Onalaja and Ajabeng.

Fruché is a contemporary fashion brand based in Lagos, Nigeria. The brand which is run by Frank Aghuno aims to explore rich, historical, futuristic and modern progressive stories that challenge the notion that Nigeran/African women and men are expected to look and dress a certain way.

The brand embodies a unique sensibility that seamlessly combines and outspoken narrative and a bold sensuality that is luxuriously modern. See more runway looks below.
