Spring 2011 catwalks of New York, London, Milan and Paris saw the rise of black models. This only proves that fashion has evolved over the last few years, what used to be an industry hostile to ebony-skinned models has seen more and more designers celebrating talents in Africa with the rising use of black models to showcase their collections. Models including Ajak and Atuai Deng (not family relatives), Betty Adewale and Aminaka Naira were a few constant faces on the catwalks.
