This is the case as Maki Oh, owned by Amaka Osakwe and Jewel By Lisa owned by Lisa Folawiyo were featured in an article by Chioma Nnadi on Vogue Daily about “Made in Africa: 10 Labels You Need to Know Now”.

Adama Paris, Ituen Basi And Other Designers Set To Showcase At Gambia Fashion Night 2013

It’s the season of Fashion weeks and the atmosphere is being carried on by the Gambia Fashion Night. This year, the international designers set to showcase at Gambia Fashion Night 2013 is just spectacular, and you would be excited about being there just as much as I would after seeing so. The list goes as follows…Adama Paris from Senegal, Filip Roth from Poland, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada from Spain, and Ituen Basi from Nigeria. And still more to be confirmed.

Gambia Fashion Night is an event in which Gambian and International Fashion designers from various countries including The Gambia, Europa and USA. GFN is a big success as a promotional event for the tourism in the Gambia. So the Gambian Government in connection with the organizers decided to establish GFN as a yearly event to promote the Gambian tourism.
