Today, CNN did a documentary on the Nigerian Music Featuring Cohbams, Seyi Shay, 9ice and a short exclusive with Femi Kuti. A highlight in the documentary was when 9ice said Nigerians love any music that can make them dance irrespective of the genre of the music. We can all agree that this claim is true.

On the 10th of this month was Dammy Krane’s birthday and to mark his birthday, Dammy infuses Commercial Music with the fuji genre and dropped a major jam featuring one of the biggest artistes in Fuji, Pasuma. We wish him more success in his career and life as a whole.

Day 9 Featuring Terry Tha Rapman And Elinee – Hold Sumtin

Day 9 is a rap artiste making his first entry into the Nigerian Music scene with “Hold Sumtin” featuring Terry Tha Rapman and Ghanaian act Elinee. You can hear that “GhanaNaija” blend in the song. This song is definitely headed for the awards! Enjoy.

C-Real Featuring M.anifest – Opeimu +  C-Real Featuring E.L. – Hewale [Strength]

His album EMCEO is themed on a rapper&#39s dual nature as a businessman and an emcee. Featured on the album are Ghanaian heavyweights like E.L. (who did the hook on Sarkodie&#39s “You Go Kill Me”), Efya, M.anifest and Channel O&#39s

Opeimu and Hewale are two songs from the album. On the hiphop-ish Opeimu, he features Channel O nominated rapper, M.anifest while E.L. delivers a strong and touching hook on the latter which is named for the Twi word for strength, a ballad to encourage everyone passing through hard times and struggling for relevance.

GOR – Kristi Time

It’s Christmas again and GOR, fresh off their 2012 Nigeria Gospel Music Awards nomination jump on the hugely popular gangnam style beat to record what they refer to as Kristi Time. Partly humorous and very energetic, the song centers on the so many different things we all bother ourselves with in the run up to the yuletide. You are sure to nod to it. Ill Bliss Featuring Timaya – Double Double

If there is an artiste that gives undiluted Hip Hop without betraying the popular Nigerian Music trend, it’s Ill Bliss. He has once again blessed us with a proper Hip-Hop album. “Oga Boss” was released a little over a week ago, and I can assure you that it’s a lovely album. 100% Rap; 100% Commercial. Seyi Shay Featuring Vector – Irawo Remix

She was on CNN talking about her kind of music. She said she makes use of the Pidgin English for acceptability. Seyi remixed her popular single, “Irawo”, with Vector. Del B gave the instrumentals a new lift with extra kicks and slightly higher tempo. This one is sure to rock the clubs this season.

Tillaman has evolved from a soulful artiste to a hit maker in the Nigerian Music arena. The real Omo Oba Tillaman returns with his new single titled Ori Owo. This one is has a taste of highlife delivered in mostly yoruba lyrics. If its Tillaman, it can’t be anything but good!
