Trump Threatens To Close Down Social Media Platforms After Twitter Labels His Tweet
US President, Donald Trump has threatened to regulate or shut down social media platforms after accusing Twitter of placing a fact-checking label on his tweets.
Trump’s threat comes a day after the micro-blogging platforms for the first time added a warning to some of his tweets which he claims resulted in being political bias towards conservative voices.
Trump had tweeted “There is NO WAY (ZERO!) that Mail-In Ballots will be anything less than substantially fraudulent.” Shortly after the tweet was sent out, a warning label was placed on the post and a subsequent tweet.
Twitter’s notification displayed a blue exclamation mark underneath the tweets, suggesting readers “get the facts about mail-in ballots”. Twitter’s link directed users to a page on which Mr Trump’s claims about mail-in ballots are described as “unsubstantiated”. The social media company cited reports on the issue by CNN, the Washington Post and others.
Trump, then on Wednesday insinuated that Republicans felt social media companies were trying to silence conservative voices.
Trump on Twitter said, “Republicans feel that Social Media Platforms totally silence conservatives voices. We will strongly regulate, or close them down, before we can ever allow this to happen”. He then added: “Clean up your act, NOW!!!!”
….happen again. Just like we can’t let large scale Mail-In Ballots take root in our Country. It would be a free for all on cheating, forgery and the theft of Ballots. Whoever cheated the most would win. Likewise, Social Media. Clean up your act, NOW!!!!

Twitter has now shown that everything we have been saying about them (and their other compatriots) is correct. Big action to follow!
