UPDATE: Niger Governor, Abubakar Bello, Recovers From COVID19
Niger state governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, who recently emerged as the latest Nigerian politician to contract Coronavirus (COVID-19) has recovered from the disease.
Bello had taken to social media on November 9 to announce that he had tested positive for the virus and was going into isolation for treatment.
Giving an update via his Twitter handle on Monday night, the governor disclosed he has recovered and thanked everyone for their prayers.
”I am delighted to inform you that I have recovered from #COVID19. I thank you all for the prayers and kind wishes during this period.” he wrote.

So far, Niger is one of the few states with a low record of COVID-19 infections. According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control’s latest update, they’ve recorded total case of 286, alongside 264 recoveries and 12 deaths.
