A pipeline reportedly owned by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), in Abule-Soba community of Abule Ado area in Lagos state, exploded this morning.
According to eye witnesses who shared the incident on social media, the explosion was so loud that residents of Surulere, Amuwo Odofin, Apapa, Oshodi, Ikeja, Alimosho and environs felt the impact.
The explosion left many houses destroyed far and near including a secondary girls college. It is believed that activities of pipeline vandals led to the explosion. The casualty figure is yet unknown as at the time of this report.

I pray this is the last time I'll witness such an event, Is it a bomb that was planted or a pipeline that exploded. Regardless my house and the neighborhood has been destroyed, A school with children has been destroyed. A lot of lives have been lost.

I just witnessed an explosion this morning. I was at 23 road, Festac Town at that time. Everywhere around me shook so hard and my ears went numb in an instant.
